SOLE LUNA TREVISO DOC FILM FESTIVAL

Sole Luna Festival will tell stories of peoples and landscapes, it will be an anthropological journey, a cultural bridge of getting to know “the other one” through a dialogue free from prejudice to prove the well known fact that diversity is an inexhaustible source of wealth.
This year the festival, now in its ninth edition, will split between two venues, Palermo and Treviso, and it will represent a real unifying bridge spanning across from Southern to Northern Italy. After the successful Festival in PALERMO, ended on Thursday, June 26, we wait for you in TREVISO to relive the wonderful atmosphere of the Sole Luna Festival and see again all the documentary screenings.

The selection amongst the hundreds of documentaries received from around the world that have applied to take part in the 2014 competition, has determined the creation of three showcases for the competition:

THE JOURNEY: MEETING OF CULTURES

that brings together the categories Through the sea and Through the lands published in the competition papers.

FOOD FOR LIFE

that tells us about the food as a source of life, but also as a story of a people and his cultural roots.

ON THE RIVER

inspired by the layout of the city of Treviso, surrounded by the river Sile and by different canals. A story about man’s relationship with the landscape that surrounds him and that he shapes and crosses.
