The Association “Sole Luna, Un ponte tra le culture” aims to give life to friendly relationships and cultural exchanges between people. In order to fulfil this purpose, it addresses its activities especially to young generations. The main activity of the association is Sole Luna Doc Film Festival which is going to celebrate the 12th anniversary in 2017. Over the years the festival has grown and the showcases have revealed new talents and promoted independent cinema, developing new dialogues among a lot of communities.
The showcase will be organized in collaboration with CONVIVENZE and will offer film screenings from the archive of the association with particular attention to the issue of human rights. HUNGRY MINDS, which is the first film to be screened, is a film about love for literature and about respect for the knowledge with no limits.
Everyone today should see #MyEscape by Elke Sasse, a film that tells the migrants odyssey through images filmed by the protagonists themselves.
Our project SOLE LUNA SCHOOL invites teachers to contact us in order to offer students a real view of what is happening: an opportunity for reflection and debate.

The documentary film #MYESCAPE assesses the journey that refugees from Afghanistan, Syria and Eritrea chose to undergo, as the circumstances in their home-countries became increasingly unliveable. Hundreds of thousands are leaving their countries, families and old lives behind, in search of some basic safety and freedom. In most cases, the mobile phone became a quintessential tool to facilitate the organisation of ones escape and the constant companion. This has lead many to document their experiences.
