The Dark Matter Cinema Tarot was created by artists and filmmakers Silvia Maglioni and Graeme Thomson to experience collectively how film images can open up new visions. People are invited to form a Nocturnal Committee, to pose questions to the cards and read them together. Sharing the descriptions, interpretations and stories that emerge from the images, each reading forms a singular constellation of voices, gestures, situations and relations. Begun in Paris in 2016, the Dark Matter Cinema Tarot has now become a nomadic project. Numerous readings have taken place throughout the world (Barcelona, New York, Madrid, Athens, Rotterdam, Yerevan, Lecce, Mumbai) in different situations, from museums and film festivals to intimate gatherings.
