The festival has always included among its reviews documentaries that report alarming situations and promotes respect for our planet. Thus, with good reason, this edition shows the theme, pointing out possible paths to follow and showing realities that represent good practices to imitate.
Moreover, Duilio Giammaria will open the festival with the lectio One World. Documentari. Dalla scoperta del mondo alla consapevolezza dell’ambiente, a multimedia presentation that points out the recent history of adventure and discovery documentaries, demonstrating how this audio-visual instrument has contributed to the creation of a global culture about the environment.

The sun valley

In Sicily, the sun valley, a new great challenge took shape in 2010: the production of a cutting-edge generation of solar panels. Indeed, the sun factory Enel Green Power is located on the slopes of the Mount Etna: 3Sun, a world leader in the production of photovoltaic panels of the latest generation. It is located a few kilometres from Innovation Lab, a campus for study and research, which offers integrated services to universities and companies and creates a network to support the continuous evolution of technologies, in particular photovoltaic ones, and more. 3Sun and Innovation Lab, together, today make up the Enel group’s pole of technological excellence in Catania in the field of renewable energy and innovative technologies.
Sole Luna Doc Film Festival is making a documentary for Enel Green Power that tells the story of this great Italian company in the land of Sicily, a land that has been able to renew itself and open up to sustainable high technology and that in this direction can really bring about a future rebirth.
