The Londoner diretor Julien Temple ‘rockumentary’ on the true story of the Sex Pistols helps us better understand the musical and social context in which the Sex Pistols were born and imposed themselves in the eyes of the punk movement and the public, first in Britain and then worldwide. Temple’s work was created in 2000 thanks to the material that the director was able to shoot between ’75 and ’78. A close friend of Joe Strummer (to whom he dedicated the fantastic “The Future Is Unwritten”), Julien has taken part from the first beginnig to the Sex Pistols tour.
