This film is a portrait of Rabih Abou-Kahlil, a composer und fantastic interpreter of the most important instrument of the Middle-East : the oud. The audience follows Abou-Kahlil to his way back to Lebanon where he was born and learnt to play the oud before he came toEurope to study occidental music. Highlights of the film are extracts of concerts with the BBC Concert Orchestra in Great Britain including the mode of development and cooperation of Abou-Khalil and the orchestra as well as very intense meetings in Beyrouth with other musicians and friends.
