Sole Luna has become a network thanks to the power of the topics covered by the selected movies. Besides the event in Palermo, in 2014 the festival began to be held also in Treviso, while since 2016 Sole Luna – A bridge between the cultures has been in charge of the showcase in competition of the Human Rights Festival in Milan.
The first appointment in 2018 will be in the context of the third edition of the Human Rights Festival, at the Triennale in Milan from March 19th to 24th with a showcase on Human Rights.
Then the Sole Luna Doc Film Festival will take place in Palermo from July 2nd to 8th at Santa Maria Dello Spasimo with the two showcases: Human Rights and The Journey.
In Treviso from September 10th to 16th at Palazzo dei Trecento and at the TRA gallery – Ca ‘dei Ricchi the festival will reshow the Human Rights and The Journey showcases with possible variations.
The selected showcases for the three events will not be necessary the same.
The Association Sole Luna-Un ponte tra le culture continues the project “OPEN DOORS”, whose aim is to propose self-financed initiatives (exhibitions, concerts, performances, dance, theatre, etc.) consistent with the principles of solidarity, dialogue and interaction with every historical form of otherness, which have represented the guidelines of the documentary film festival in all its editions.
The Scientific Committee of the Association will select the most interesting projects received by March 1st, 2018 that will be hosted during the events of the 13th edition of the documentary film Festival, becoming an integral part of the reflection proposal for the audience which has followed us for years.
