In October 2014, the ‘Balai Citoyen’ (‘Citizens’ Broom’) revolt led to the overthrow of Burkina Faso’s dictator, Blaise Compaoré. Rapper Serge Bambara (aka Smockey), was among the insurgents. He is now considered to be one of the orchestrators of this political change. The film immerses the audience in his daily life as leader and artist, inspired by Thomas Sankara.
