Giuseppe tries to help his son Duncan to survive his heroin addiction. The paternal love is a steady and relentless manifestation of apprehension: from recommendations before going out with friends, to the dinner left in the fridge waiting for the son to come back from his evenings out. The relationship between father and son is dominated by silence and waiting, while the shadow of addiction keeps on being the elephant in the room, that neither Duncan nor Giuseppe dare to talk about loudly.
