#elgoogo project – Rose’s first post on her Google Fellowship Policy here at Sole LunaMonica
I’m Rose, the winner of the Google Policy Fellowship here at Sole Luna. I moved to Rome from the UK at the end of September 2017. I am working with Sole Luna on creating a counter speech campaign against hate speech. I will be sharing this journey with you all. This will include details on what I have been researching on and general day-to-day activities.
My first month has been a whirlwind; it’s unbelievable that it’s been a month already! After settling into my new life here in Rome, sightseeing and eating delicious pasta, I visited the Google team here in Rome. That was an unforgettable day and one that’s ingrained in my brain!
My first time at the Google Rome Office
Now, back to the main topic. Along with posts on my research, I will also be writing a series of posts on documentaries that address different areas of hate speech that many of you may be interested in watching. In the last month, I have watched some incredible films and am very excited to share it with you.
Stay tuned for the next post.
The Pantheon was the first sight I explored and it has become one of my favourites!
