The Modern Art Gallery of Palermo is located in “via Sant’Anna”, in the heart of the historical centre of the city, and it is a few hundred meters from “piazza Pretoria” and from the headquarter of the City Hall “Palazzo delle Aquile”. From here, walking through the “Discesa dei Giudici” and crossing “via Roma” you get “Piazza Sant’Anna” where there is the homonymous church and the former convent that hosts the Museum.
In the same area – mostly traffic-free and reachable also with the shuttle service to support pedestrian areas – are located other important cultural assets like the “Galleria Regionale” of “Palazzo Abatellis” and the “Church of San Francesco d’Assisi”.
