Production realized for the Task Force Iraq of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the recent war in Iraq.
The documentary film is shot in Iraq in the area of Dhi – Qar, an area still rich in history and centuries-old traditions, and collects evidence of the oldest Iraqi song and folk music that otherwise would be destined to disappear.
The work, carried out with footage of Iraqi cameramen trained by the Sole Luna – Un ponte tra le culture Association, has used the research of Prof. Paolo Scarnecchia anthropologist at the University of Naples Federico II and the experience of the Master luthier Claude Lebet.
